The Lonely Explorer - A Blog About Traveling Alone Across the Globe

A Blog About Traveling Alone Across the Globe (85 Countries and Counting)

As a kid, I used to collect travel brochures and guides and plan my dream journeys, but we never had enough money to travel much. As an adult, I decided 10 years ago that regardless of whether someone accompanies me or not, I would start seeing the world, and since then, I have been to 85 countries and many more of our beautiful United States, primarily just me, myself and I. Many people look at us solo travelers as oddballs or socially retarded, but we know we are stronger, more independent individuals.

I am here to share some of my travel experiences and photos with you from the perspective of a guy who is often termed a loner. The good, the bad, the beautiful, the ugly…straight up and honest, because solo travel, like anything else in life, can be a mixed bag.
